Survival Research Labs led by Jim Moulton & Marshall Rockwell. SRL is a progressive performance art group out of the bay area that uses large remotely controlled robotics devices to create an amazing visual and auditory cacophony of epic proportions. Their last performance occurred in Los Angeles during the mid-80's. This SIG is committed planning their return to LA. The SRL Performance is scheduled for August 1999, to coincide with Siggraph. At this meeting we will show a 10 Minute (A-) Robotics Video; pass out copies of the performance requirements and have a variety of press releases to review. We will also discuss having an official kick-off party for the event.

Following recent events in Colorado, many government, education and business leaders across the country contacted Max wanting to meet online in recognition of a collective community crisis. The purpose of the SIG is to get the LAP website ready to address this wave of urgency with up to date conferencing &/communication tools.
